At what age does Social Security Disability stop?

Social Security Disability benefits and SSI benefits are payable until age 65.  At that time, they convert to Social Security Retirement benefits.  You may be eligible to ask that those benefits be converted between ages 62 and 65, but that may affect your Medicare benefits and/or other aspects of your entitlement. Be sure to speak to your attorney at Lancaster & Eure before taking steps to change your Social Security Disability status.
